Hear ye, hear ye! The puppies have arrived!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, we've had our paws full. Little Angel delivered her load a week before her due date and guess what, she had EIGHT little crumb-crunchers! Sadly two of them passed away the next day, we think there was an internal problem as those two came out with their umbilical cords already severed. However, the six remaining pups are thriving (aside from a few hold your breath, "is that one breathing?" moments) and growing at an amazing rate. Dashman, Bird and I were the only ones here when the event occurred, but the next weekend Mom, Reaganite and Bonny arrived to help with the work load that accompanies newborns. They've been a Godsend as work schedules do not accommodate for when your dog has babies, and we like to keep a 24 hour watch on them. Angel baby is a good mama, if a

little unmindful of where she lays, we've had to do a couple emergency evacuations of small ones who crawl between her and the edge of the bed.
I have to go now, as the small ones are calling, but I'll post a detailed account of the birth sometime soon.
